OMG! My hair and me

Whew! I'm tellin you somethin most people, including us, have to take time to understand is...our hair. I am only speaking for my family because I don't know everyone. I was brought up by a woman who was naturally short but still didn't know what to do with her daughter's (mine) hair which was beyond her own. It was an overwhelming stack of dark brown stuff that just grew and grew and grew. She kept it nicely braided until she gave birth to another girl. Now what? It's just sooooo much...perm it. All of her friends were perming their daughters' hair so perm must be the way to go. I'm sure, though, if my mother's friends had been natural or if just one of them was successfully natural she would've preferred to do that. I've been natural for about three years and I never knew that it was a whole different set of people. It's amazing. Being a lover of artistic things, I'm enjoying the road of the natooral hair. No matter how long it gets or if it decided to be short...I'm lovin this. For health reasons I've taken meat out of my diet, but I can eat fish. My health has made alot of decisions for me...isn't that nice ;-)
